Graduation

To properly accomodate those with wheelchair and or handicap preferential seating at graduation, please contact Michelle Delisi, delisi@omahamarian.org or 402-934-1224, to ensure tickets can be distributed on time to your daughter.

All tuition payments, fees and fines must be paid, and all Saturday School obligations must be met before caps, gowns and tickets will be distributed. 

If your selected payment plan is the monthly automatic bank withdrawal, you may make your final tuition payments as scheduled.

April 29 | 7:30 a.m. | Marian’s Cafeteria  

Hosted by the Marian Alumnae Association Board to welcome the Class of 2026 into our alumnae network. We ask all attendees to arrive at 7:20 a.m. in professional attire (nice dress or dress slacks and blouse). Breakfast will start promptly at 7:30 a.m.

Invites will be sent to mothers/grandmothers who are Marian alumnae. 

This breakfast is mandatory for ALL seniors.

Caps and gowns may be taken home or kept in lockers. 

ONLY caps and gowns are allowed at graduation with the exception of the National Honor Society cords. Please - no decorations on the mortar board caps. Outside regalia is not allowed, including college, ethnic, athletic, etc. 

Students are informed to give tickets to parents as soon as they receive them!

May 11 | 8 a.m. | East Gym

This is a formal event. Parents and grandparents are invited to attend.  Siblings that attend Marian, may join their parents. Parents should carpool if possible because of limited parking. 

Seniors wear caps, gowns, Marian blue and white tassel, NHS cord and are to be in the West Gym no later than 7:40 a.m. and be in dressy attire. 

Flowers are provided by the Marian Moms for each graduate to carry.  No other flowers should be distributed or carried at this assembly.  This is the day you may wear your State Medals with your cap & gown.  

Photos will be available on the website. 

May 15 | 8 a.m. |  Marian East Gym

This is a formal event. Seniors wear caps, gowns, Marian blue and white tassel, and NHS cord. Seniors report to the West Gym no later than 7:40 a.m. 

Parents and grandparents are invited to attend. Siblings that attend Marian, may join their parents. Carpooling is encouraged due to limited parking. 

No flowers are carried at Mass.  Photos will be available on the website. 

Senior parents are invited to join us for pastries and refreshments to celebrate our 2026 Marian Graduates. Reception will be held the Marian Quad following the Baccalaureate Mass. Grandparents and siblings are welcome. 

May 15 | 10:00 a.m. |  Marian East Gym

This practice is mandatory for ALL SENIORS.   

As soon as Baccalaureate Mass is over and family and friends have departed, seniors return to the East Gym for graduation rehearsal.  Rehearsal typically lasts 60-90 minutes.

May 17 | 2 p.m. |  Holland Center, 1200 Douglas Street

Graduation Commencement Exercises begin at 2 p.m. The ceremony will last about one hour. Seniors should arrive at 1:15 p.m. and line up at 1:30 p.m.  At the end of the ceremony, graduates will meet their families outside in front of the venue.

Graduates DO NOT return their caps, gowns or tassels; they are yours to keep. 

Families and guests, please remain seated until all the graduates have processed out. 

ADMISSION TO THE COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES IS BY TICKET ONLY. 

Each senior will receive a total of 12 tickets; six (6) tickets for lower section seating and an additional six (6) tickets for upper section seating.  Seating is determined by a random lottery and all seats are reserved seating. 

Children under five years old may sit on an adult's lap and therefore will not need to have a ticket.

Tickets will be handed out to students on May 5 & 6. Seniors needing more tickets are encouraged to contact classmates who need fewer tickets. To facilitate the ticket exchange, the class officers set up a Google sheet for those who have extra tickets to give away.
