Esprit De Corps Ceremony

The Young Alumna of the Year Award recognizes accomplished, young leaders under the age of 40 who have made a significant impact in their business and community early in their careers. This award is new, and will be first awarded in 2024. 

The Alumna of the Year Award is the most prestigious honor given by the Alumnae Association. First given in 1991, the award recognizes accomplished, compassionate, strong women who are leaders in their respective fields and represent the values and mission of Marian.

The Sr. Mary Marcella Leadership Award recognizes one alumna who exemplifies the distinguished success of a Marian education through her professional and personal achievements. Given first in 2010, this special award is dedicated to the first principal of Marian, who epitomized the charism of the Servants of Mary.  Sr. Marcella was a compassionate, thoughtful and sensitive woman, whose mission in life was to make sure that Marian students developed into confident, independent, thinking leaders inspired by faith.

The Marian Award was established in 1981 and is given annually to members of the Marian community who are dedicated supporters of the values of Catholic education and are leaders in the community at large. Those selected demonstrate the core values of Marian identity, compassion, community, spirituality, empowerment and service. Those selected are role models for Marian students. The award honors dignity, creativity and courage, as reflected in the lives of the recipients.

The Spirit of Marian Award was established in 2002 to honor the spirit of our supporters. These supporters are the answer to our prayers, energy in our step, and lifesavers in our projects and events. Their smiling faces, helping hands and encouraging words inspire others daily.

Inspired by Mary, Marian’s mission forms young women as leaders and lifelong learners in a society where their talents and faith will give hope to the world. Since 1959, Marian alumnae have taken this mission with them out into the world, where they serve as leaders in their families, church, professions and communities. An honorary diploma was established in 2015 to recognize those who did not attend Marian. Yet, their enthusiasm, service and devotion to “all things” Marian are so noted that the only attribute missing from their long list of Marian accomplishments is a diploma.
