Start High School With Solid Study Skills
Learning Services Information
For freshmen to have a smooth transition into high school, the Learning Services Coordinator provides all freshman students with a Freshman Seminar Program. All freshmen will complete a non-credit seminar that teaches three components:
- Study Skills (fall sessions)
- Library Research Skills (fall and spring session)
- Finals Workshop (fall session)
The Learning Services Coordinator also works with students who have both diagnosed and undiagnosed learning differences. There are several strategies that the Learning Services Coordinator uses to improve academic success at Marian. From providing organizational tips, visual and auditory directions, oral exam options, and overall study skill techniques, Marian will work individually with each student to ensure their continued growth and success at the college preparatory level.
Please contact Learning Services Coordinator Priscilla Trecek for more information.
