Signature Programs
In addition to our college prep curriculum, Marian students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of signature programs designed to expand and apply knowledge and skills inside and outside the classroom. We currently offer three signature programs: Humanities, STEM, Fine and Performing Arts.

Humanities Scholar
The Humanities Scholar Program is a course of study that focuses on intellectually and culturally rigorous classes that will foster a greater appreciation and understanding of the world. Students will take seven humanities electives in three different subjects and complete a capstone project to fulfill the curricular requirements.
Students who successfully complete the program will earn a special notation on their diploma.

STEM Scholar
At Marian, we believe that all girls benefit from a solid foundation in math, science and engineering. Our students are engaged in a challenging, integrated curriculum that cultivates scientific and mathematical literacy while encouraging innovation and creative problem-solving. The STEM Scholar Program is a course of study that allows students to focus on intellectually rigorous classes that will foster an interest in science, technology, engineering and math.
Students begin the program their sophomore year with chemistry class. After freshman year, students will take two STEM electives in addition to four years of courses in science and math. Students will also complete a capstone project and participate in STEM-related extracurricular activities at Marian. Students who successfully complete the program will earn a special notation on their diploma.

Fine & Performing Arts Scholar
Research has shown that the arts promote positive development in academic, social and emotional areas. The Fine & Performing Arts Scholar Program creates the opportunity to explore a number of courses, clubs and extracurricular activities that provide a foundation in the fine and performing arts. These will allow your daughter’s creativity to flourish as she discovers and cultivates her artistic gifts.
Students begin the program in their freshman or sophomore year after the completion of Art Foundations, Concert Choir, Band or Strings. Students will take six semesters of fine arts courses. Students will also complete a capstone project and participate in arts-related extracurricular activities at Marian. Students who successfully complete the program will earn a special notation on their diploma.
