David Anderson has been teaching social studies at Marian since 2008. He currently teaches Advanced Placement European History and Honors U.S. History. He has also taught World History, American Government, Sociology, and International Issues. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Master’s of Education degree from Creighton University. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in History at the University of Nebraska-Kearney. In 2015, Anderson was selected as one of only 100 teachers nationwide to receive the Buchwald Summer Fellowship Award. In 2012, Anderson was selected for the Nebraska Civic Leadership Program through the University of Nebraska-Omaha’s Political Science Department. Anderson serves as the moderator for the Social Studies Honor Society—Rho Kappa.
