Seniors Cece Crotzer and Mary Puccioni spent their spring break in a surgery center in Guatemala to help their parents on a service trip. The team of doctors worked through an organization called Faith in Practice.
Marian’s annual service trip to the Dominican Republic takes place May 24 to June 3, 2025. For nearly 20 years, Marian has collaborated with Creighton University’s Institute for Latin American Concern (ILAC) to send students on the mission trip.
Congratulations to Seniors Caroline McDonald and Liz Nguyen who qualified for the National Speech and Debate Association national tournament.
This year, 22 Marian students traveled to Boston from Feb. 19-21, to participate in Harvard Model Congress, along with Marian teachers Jillian Roger, Susie Sisson and Katy Salzman. Throughout the conference, Marian students collaborated with other students from all over the country to tackle a wide array of complex issues. They wrote bills, debated legislation, managed crises, held press conferences, and wrote news stories.

A dedicated group of Marian students took an icy plunge into Lake Zorinsky - all for a cause greater than themselves at the annual Polar Plunge, a benefit for Special Olympics Nebraska.
Momentum, Marian's Show Choir has kicked off its competition season. Their theme for the season is "Fire and Ice," and they are on fire!
The Marian Dance Team recently returned from a national competition in Orlando, Florida, where they have made it to the finals round for jazz - the first time since 2018.
On Jan. 22, Casteria Agbeletey ’26, Majie Ahna Winfrey ’26, Kaylene Bialas ’25 and Elizabeth Buescher ’25 participated in the Poetry Out Loud school competition. Although Winfrey was named the winner, all four girls demonstrated their knack for presentation and the decision was competitive.
