Omaha Marian’s Future Business Leaders of America students earned impressive recognition at the recent FBLA State Leadership Conference, bringing home awards for both chapter excellence and individual achievement. From academic competitions to community service initiatives, Marian’s FBLA members showcased leadership, innovation and dedication throughout the year.

The Omaha Marian FBLA chapter was recognized as a Silver Level Champion Chapter for its overall accomplishments during the school year. The chapter also earned several prestigious ribbon project recognitions, including the Alzheimer’s Association Ribbon Project for its partnership and work supporting the Alzheimer’s Association, the Feed Nebraska Ribbon Project for volunteering at the Open Door Mission and donating food to COPE, the Go Green Ribbon Project for promoting environmental awareness and the Seven Up Ribbon Project for increasing chapter membership by at least seven members from last year.

Several Marian students also earned top honors in competitive events and leadership recognition categories!

Junior Sanibel Miller had an outstanding conference, placing 2nd in Introduction to Business Concepts, 4th in Introduction to FBLA, and 7th in Introduction to Business Communication. She was also named Omaha Marian’s recipient of the prestigious Who’s Who in Nebraska FBLA award and achieved the Advocate Level in the Business Achievement Awards program. In addition, Sanibel earned Honorable Mention recognition in Introduction to Marketing Concepts, placing in the top 4% of competitors beyond the Top 8 finalists.

Sophia Hansen earned 2nd Place in Introduction to Information Technology and 6th Place in Networking Infrastructures, while Ashley Bialas placed 3rd in Project Management and 6th in Event Planning.

The team of Kaitlyn Bendon, Ashley Bialas, and Delaney Schmitz earned 3rd Place in Graphic Design. Kaitlyn Bendon also placed 6th in Human Resource Management and earned Honorable Mention in Journalism.

Reese Eggers placed 5th in Journalism and earned Honorable Mention in International Business.

In team competitions, Rita Harr, Saniya Harris-Alcorn, and Bella Hobbs placed 6th in Supply Chain Management and 7th in Website Design. The trio also received Honorable Mention recognition in Data Analysis.

Additional Honorable Mention honors went to Keira Bavaresco in both Introduction to FBLA and Introduction to Retail & Merchandising, as well as Mary O’Connell in Introduction to FBLA. Honorable Mention distinctions are awarded to students placing within the top 4% of competitors after the Top 8 finalists.

Congratulations to all of Omaha Marian’s FBLA members and advisors on an incredible year of achievement, leadership, and service. Their success reflects the hard work, collaboration and commitment that continue to make Marian’s FBLA chapter a standout program across the state.
