Marian Celebrates Catholic Schools Week

Since 1974, National Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. This year we celebrate National Catholic Schools Week from Jan. 25-31, with a theme of United in Faith and Community. This annual theme highlights the shared mission of forming the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—while emphasizing the partnership between families, educators and the church.

To celebrate the daily themes, Campus Ministry's Faith in Action Team (FIAT) has planned a full week of fun activities, including featured freebies and fun dress days. Track all the themes in the chart above.

  • Monday we celebrate our nation
  • Tuesday we celebrate vocations
  • Wednesday we celebrate our faculty and staff
  • Thursday we celebrate students
  • Friday we celebrate our Marian community

We can't celebrate Catholic Schools Week without also recognizing the Servants of Mary, our founding order, who have devoted their lives to faith and service. Their legacy of dedication to the education of young women provides the foundation of Marian High School.

The impact of the Servants of Mary on Omaha Catholic schools was also significant. In addition to founding Marian, they staffed multiple Catholic elementary schools including Holy Name, Holy Ghost, St. Rose, St. Benedict, Christ the King, St. Pius and St. James. We thank them for their many years of service to our Catholic schools!
