Eleven Seniors Sign Letters of Intent

11 students signed letters of intent to play college athletics

Marian is proud to announce that 11 student-athletes signed letters of intent to continue their athletic pursuits at the university level. While they have displayed stellar performances on the court, the golf course, the field, and in the pool, their time spent in the classroom and community is just as impressive.

Hayden Blaney ‘26 will be playing soccer at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Hayden is a member of Marian’s National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society and Science Honor Society. She was awarded the American Chemical Society Award. Hayden is also active as a member of the Burn Magazine staff, the Network newspaper staff and Polar Plunge club.

Tatum Brandl ‘26 will be playing soccer at University of Minnesota Duluth. Tatum is a member of Marian’s Yoga Club, Young Medicine Club and Polar Plunge. She finds time to volunteer at the Heartland Equine Therapeutic Riding Academy where she works with children who have disabilities/special needs.

Emelia Daubendiek ‘26 will be playing basketball at South Dakota School of Mines. Emelia is involved in Young Medicine Club, Operation Others, Campus Ministry EMHC and Hiking Club. She also volunteers at Open Door Mission serving meals and sorting donations. Emelia belongs to Marian’s Science National Honors Society, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honors Society, Spanish National Honors Society and National Honors Society. 

Lucy Johansen ‘26 will be swimming at South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota. Lucy is a member of Operation Others and Students for Life at Marian. She also volunteers through her church.

Brooklyn Kincaid ‘26 will be playing softball for South Dakota State University in Brookings. Brooklyn also participates in track and field at Marian.

Paige Miller ‘26 will be playing soccer at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Paige also plays basketball and holds all-time steal records at Marian. Paige is a member of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha and Science Honor Societies. She also tutors students in Marian’s Marcella Writing Center and volunteers at the Heartland Food Bank.

Meredith Peyton ‘26 will be swimming at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Meredith is an Honor Roll student and a member of the National Honor Society. She is a Marian Big Sister and Marian Ambassador. She also volunteers at the Open Door Mission with her family.

Keely Robbins ‘26 will be playing softball at Iowa Western. Keely is also a key member of Marian’s Wrestling team where she holds two records. In addition to softball and wrestling, Keely participated in CEO, a student-athlete leadership group for two years. 

Helen Simpson ‘26 will be playing volleyball at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa. Helen has been a member of Marian’s volleyball program for four years and also lettered in track her freshman year at Marian. Helen is a member of Marian’s National Honor Society and participates in Culinary Club, Big Sisters and Campus Ministry as a retreat leader. She also volunteers as a coach for her sister’s 8th-grade club volleyball team and enjoys doing service projects with her Marian classmates.

Natalia Waller ‘26 will be playing soccer for the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Natalia is a member of the National Honors Society. She is also involved in Marian’s Yearbook, Young Medicine Club and Student Ambassadors. Natalia enjoys volunteering at TOP Soccer, Food Bank of Heartland, Open Door Mission and Salvation Army. 

Kamryn Wray ‘26 will be playing soccer for Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Kamryn belongs to National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta. Her extracurricular activities include Marian Ambassadors, Campus Ministry, CEO and the Hiking Club. Kamryn volunteers at TOP Soccer, which helps kids with disabilities fulfill their dreams of playing soccer.
