A Legacy of Service: Celebrating the Jubilees of the Servants of Mary

We at Marian celebrate the history of the Servants of Mary and look with gratitude to those whose vision made Marian a reality. Through every decade the sisters’ compassionate presence has served as the foundation for Marian. In 1918, they arrived in Omaha to establish and staff Holy Name School and would go on to serve in six other parish schools in Omaha. In 1955, they fulfilled a dream of opening a school dedicated to young women when they opened Marian High School on the grounds of their motherhouse. The sisters not only founded the school, but filled most administrative and teaching positions as well. The legacy of the Servants of Mary is firmly rooted - embedded in the core values and passed down to the faculty and students.

Congratulations to the following Servants of Mary celebrating milestone anniversaries this year. They will be honored at a Mass and luncheon, Saturday, Oct. 11 at 11 a.m.
