French Honor Society Announced

Students in French Honor Society show their certificates

Congratulations to the following students on their induction into the Société Honoraire de Français. To achieve this honor, students must earn an A in every French class through the third quarter of French III.

Eliora Agbenohevi, Claire Bartholomew, Lillian Day, Ava DeSmet, Lauren Hicks, Sienna Maiers, Lucy Mendenhall, Josephine Piernicky, Sydney Schulze, Quinn Tomlinson, Isabella Valencia Valbuena, Julia Walenz and Layla Weedin.

La Société Honoraire de Français recognizes outstanding scholarship in the study of French language. The chapter provides a vehicle for focusing activities around French language and culture. Members demonstrate citizenship through service learning and benefit from myriad chapter benefits such as participation in the annual writing contest and eligibility for annual travel grants.

While at Marian, students have the opportunity to study French, Spanish and Mandarin. The study of language encourages diversity and allows students to develop an appreciation for different cultures so that Marian girls can continue to be leaders in a rapidly expanding, global society. Many Marian graduates are able to test out of college language requirements or test into higher levels of study.

Très bien!
