Field Day
Field Day is held the first Friday in May and is Marian's largest and most colorful event of the year. Marian students spend the week leading up to Field Day making costumes, decorating halls, building mascots, learning songs, and perfecting routines, all in anticipation of winning the coveted Field Day trophy. Months of preparation and a ton of creative ideas help to make this day one of the most memorable Marian events.
Gnimocemoh Gnimocemoh, which is homecoming spelled backwards, is Marian's way of celebrating a "backwards" style homecomng in an all-girls school. Instead of a football game, Marian hosts a spirited faculty versus student volleyball game. Later that evening, students attend a very informal dance where they don wacky attire and crown the Neeuq (queen), usually known as Marian's most spirited student.
Light Night
Marian’s mothers and daughters have the opportunity to enjoy a night of love and friendship as they celebrate their mother/daughter bonds at the school’s annual Light Night event. Mothers and daughters have their photo taken together, enjoy a dessert and coffee social and candlelight reflection all before the night’s entertainment.
Pop Hop
The Pop Hop is a special evening for fathers and daughters. The Pop Hop takes place annually and is an opportunity for fathers and daughters to have their photo taken together, enjoy dinner and then dance the night away.

Surprise Day
Surprise day is an event planned each year by the Student Board that usually occurs during the second semester. However, no one ever really knows when it will happen; that’s why it is a surprise! The half-day of games and entertainment is a way to increase student spirit and allows students to spend time together outside of the classroom.
Shelter from the Storm
Shelter from the Storm is a dance hosted by the Student Board. The proceeds from the dance are given to a local charity chosen by the students.
Walk-A-Thon
Walk-A-Thon is the school’s only all-student facilitated fundraiser, in which each student is responsible for collecting pledges from the community. The event’s goal grows each year and encourages the students to be advocates for Marian and help fund the costs that accompany the institution.
Welcome Dance
The Welcome Dance is held in Marian’s parking lot the first Friday in September. Three or four local bands perform live for the entire student body. This is the first official event of the school year.
