Volleyball 

Volleyball is a fall sport at Marian.  There are four volleyball teams: freshman, reserve, junior varsity and varsity.  Marian's varsity volleyball team has claimed four state championships and four runners up.  The 2009 State Championship Varsity Volleyball Team finished its season 39-1, ranked No. 1 in the state and No. 12 nationally by www.prep.com. The varsity team has also been recognized nine times by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) with the Game Plan/Team Academic Award, which honors teams who have matched their dedication to the sport of volleyball with excellence in the classroom.
