Swimming and Service

Eighteen Marian swimmers spent Saturday, August 29, volunteering at the Munroe Meyer Institute Big Splash fundraiser. The Munroe-Meyer Institute, which is part of the University of Nebraska Medical Center, provides clinical services for thousands of individuals with disabilities and conducts research into new therapies. The Big Splash brought developmentally disabled swimmers together with those without disabilities. They swam for fun and swam in competition.
Marian's 2008-2009 swim team, along with new freshman swimmers, helped time meets for the disabled, and even got in the water to assist those in need, and cheer them on.
