The Speech Team is an organization of speakers whose members participate in tournament competition in Nebraska. Individuals that qualify may attend the National Tournament held during the summer. Students who compete on the speech team are enrolled in speech class through the English Department curriculum.

In Humorous Interp - Hannah Toohey took 5th
In Dramatic Interp - Sarah Brashear took 2nd, Caroline Hendricks took 6th, and Lauren Gibbs took 8th
In Entertainment - Haley Minnick took 1st, and Rosalie Plofchan took 2nd!
In Poetry - Tyesha O'Neal took 1st!
In Original Oratory - Kate Johnson took 1st!
In Informative - Maria Barmettler took 6th.
Millard North Novice – Paige Taylor was 4th in Extemporaneous, and Andrea Dai received 3rd in Dramatic Interpretation
Bellevue West – Ty O'Neal got 1st in Poetry, Abby Johnson got 1st in Dramatic Interpretation, and Ty O'Neal got 5th in Impromptu
Millard West Novice - In Extemporaneous: Paige Taylor received 4th place, and Sarah Wangler came in 6th! In Poetry, Samantha Bianchi placed 4th, Veronica Hill came in 5th and Jordan Kuiper got 6th! And in Dramatic Interpreation, Lauren Gibbs got 1st, Caroline Hendricks received 2nd, and Andrea Dai placed 5th!
Papillion La Vista- Varsity Dramatic Interpretation: Abby Johnson placed 4th; In Novice Dramatic Interp, Andrea Dai for 4th, and Alexandra Naidenovich placed 6th. In Novice Original Oratory, Kate Johnson for 4th and Lucy Findley got 5th!
Millard South - Ty O'Neal placed 1st in Poetry, Rosalie Plofchan placed 1st in Entertainment, and Alayna Stokes placed 4th in Humorous Interpretation.
Millard West - In Dramatic Interpretation, Sarah Ervin placed 5th, Abby Johnson placed 11th, and Sarah Brashear placed 12th! In Humorous Interp, Hannah Toohey placed 5th, and Sarah Brashear placed 7th! In Informative, Julia Tatten placed 5th and also won the Top Novice award! Overall, the Marian team placed 4th place out of 21 schools competing at this tournament.
