For 18 years, Marian has partnered with Lexus of Omaha to to host a Champions for Marian Lexus Golf Tournament at Indian Creek Golf Course in Omaha. The tournament is a benefit for Marian and is part of the Lexus Champions for Charity, a unique series of 200 charity golf tournaments throughout the United States. The tournament is held anually in July and its proceeds provide funding to support Marian’s superlative academic and extracurricular programs. Participants may show their support for Marian by golfing individually, on a team or through sponsorship of this event. The fun-filled afternoon of golf for charity concludes with a dinner and awards ceremony.
This year's tournament will be held on July 15 and celebrity golf pro Peter Jacobsen will be hosting a golf clinic. Stay tuned for all of the exciting details!

2012 Lexus Champions for Marian Golf Tournament
On Monday, July 9, Lexus of Omaha hosted the 17th annual Champions for Marian Golf Tournament at Indian Creek Golf Course. The tournament is a benefit for Marian and is part of the Lexus Champions for Charity, a unique series of 200 charity golf tournaments throughout the United States. A total of
150 golfers participated in the annual event that proved to be a perfect day for golf. The event culminated with a dinner, sponsored by Mickey Anderson and Angie Anderson Quinn ‘87, brief program and oral auction. Since 1996, Marian has maintained a consecutive partnership with Lexus of Omaha, the official sponsor of the Champions for Marian Golf Tournament. The tournament inception was due to the late Tal Anderson, who sponsored the event for 14 years. Now his son Mickey Anderson and daughter Angie Quinn are carrying on his legacy. Jim Buser and Scott Searl, current Marian parents, co-chaired the tournament for the second year in a row.
Tom Nichting, former Marian Fund General Chair and parent of an alum, made the highest bid in the tournament auction. With his winning bid, Nichting and a guest will attend the 2012 Lexus Champions for Charity National Championship at Pebble Beach Golf Links, The Links at Spanish Bay and the Spyglass Hill Golf Course in Pebble Beach California in December.
