Physical Education
Marian is devoted to developing the whole student, academically, spiritually, emotionally, socially and physically. Marian’s physical education classes promote a healthy lifestyle and spirit, allowing Marian girls the self-reliance to embrace wellness in their daily lives and to achieve whatever they set their minds to.
All Marian students will participate in two semesters of physical education during their high school careers. It is our hope that during this time students gain the knowledge, attitudes and skills they need to engage in lifelong physical activity.
Regardless of the avenue, Marian students enjoy these respites from their challenging coursework as they work off stress and release tension while having fun with classmates.
Our physical education teachers are excellent role models of lifelong fitness as both were excellent athletes in high school and college and continue to share their athletic gifts and talents as coaches in multiple sports.
Course Offerings
Marian students have four physical education choices open to them, allowing them to find an activity that best suits their interests.
