Student Success Coordinator
Marian is creating an exciting new position at Marian beginning in the 2010-2011 school year.  The Student Success Coordinator will offer more direct instruction, study skills, organizational skills and study groups for students needing a little extra support.  The Coordinator would have the opportunity to co-teach a variety of freshman level courses and co-teach daily with the Algebra teacher.  This person would facilitate study groups and before and after school study sessions.  The other responsibility for the Student Success Coordinator is to create an alcohol and drug prevention program that is intimately woven directly into the existing curriculum.  For example, students in a Statistics class would review teen drinking and driving statistics and interpret the data which would provide significant information for teens.
